Making money with social media can truly seem like a challenge, but in reality it’s just another medium to work with.
One example would be Facebook – if you haven’t advertised on Facebook yet, you really need to give it a try. Before you start though….set you budget low until you get a hang of it. Don’t drive your clicks directly to a sales page – drive them to an informational site with or without an opt-in (test having an opt-in to see which performs better). What about Facebook fan pages? It’s a great place to promote your business and many of the large corporations got involved much later than they should have.
Twitter is great, but do you know how many tweets go unread – something like 70%! Why do people stop reading tweets? Mainly due to overload of information they have on all fronts and of course the tweets most likely have no useful information. So if you want people to read your tweets, be sure to provide them with useful information without overloading them. Imagine sending out 1-3 tweets a day with real information – don’t you think people would be more apt to read them? Of course….
